Part 1 of 2 looking at Texcotzingo, officially an Aztec site dating to around 1400 AD, but it has megalithic and technological elements that may push the date back much further. It was said to be designed and created by the Aztec ruler Nezahualcoyotl. These imperial gardens were used to collect and display plant and animal specimens, aiming towards an encyclopedic understanding of the flora and fauna of the whole of the Aztec empire, as well as the cultivation of medicinal and psychotropic plants. However it has stunning Peru-like carvings including the 'Chincana Cross' and other features that suggest was built upon an earlier site. Includes exclusive aerial footage. Read Marco Vigato's article on the site here, http://unchartedruins.blogspot.com/2016/08/the-mysterious-rock-and-tunnels-of.html and look out for Part 2 which features Marco and Hugh exploring other parts of the site.
