NATO's new logistics command will be established in the southern German city of Ulm in Baden-Wurttemberg. The logistics command, dubbed the 'Joint Support and Enabling Command' (JSEC) will be co-located at Ulm's Wilhelmsburg-Kaserne with the existing Multinational Joint Headquarters. The construction of a new base will reportedly begin in July.
NATO made the decision to install the new logistic command in Ulm to improve military mobility in a crisis operation, with the command being responsible for the movement of troops and military equipment across Europe to NATO's eastern flank.
