These are some of the larger mass layoffs and store closures throughout the past few weeks. Fiat Chrysler has just offered voluntary severance packages to 3,900 full-time employees at their belvedere plant. Hallmark also announced they would be closing more stores and this follows another huge announcement last month, A similar company is Papyrus both are mall retailers but the Spokesman for hallmark and many of the franchise holders whos stores were closing cited everybody doing birthdays online? I suggest their biggest competition has been Walmart and their cards are just overpriced, with locations in the slowing malls. Sonic also announced more layoffs. Goodyears Gadsden plant is down to 650 employees from over 4,000 at its peak in the '80s. Finally, we see lucky's market is said to be shutting down several locations due to increased competition and paper-thin margins.
