Chile declares state of emergency over wildfires

Chile has declared a state of emergency over wildfires in the Valparaiso region, popular with tourists . At least ten people have died in the fires according to officials. Thousands of hectares of forest have been destroyed. Strong winds are making it hard to control the wildfires.
