Bill Gates, a co-founder of Microsoft, claimed the COVID-19 Omicron strain had overtaken global vaccine initiatives in terms of spreading immunity, asking health officials around the world to respond more rapidly in the event of the next pandemic.
During a panel discussion at the 2022 Munich Security Conference on Friday, the tech magnate and philanthropist was asked about the world's progress in "fighting COVID-19," and he commended the coronavirus for naturally immunizing individuals in some regions.
"Sadly, the virus itself – particularly the variant called Omicron – is a type of vaccine. That is, it creates both B-cell and T-cell immunity, and it's done a better job of getting out to the world population than we have with vaccines,", he said.
The danger of major disease from COVID-19 has been "dramatically lowered" as a result of a huge amount of "infection exposure" in certain regions, according to Gates, who also noted that severe symptoms are "primarily related to being elderly and having obesity or diabetes."
Gates predicted a next significant health problem on the horizon with confidence, telling the panel, "We'll have another pandemic," though he added, "It will be a different disease next time."

Auch das mit der Bevölkerungsreduktion hatte er damals anders gemeint und es ist wirklich so:
Wenn die med. Versorgung besser ist, die Kidnersterblichkeit geringer, bekommen die Frauen in Afrika insgesamt weniger Kinder. Ist doch logisch.
Ihre Kinder sind ihre Altersabsicherung. Sterben zuviele, bevor sie das Teenageralter erreicht haben, werden sie immer neue Kinder austragen. Das ist schon was dran.
Gates wurde hier missverstanden.
Kein normaler Mensch würde sich vor ein Millionen Publikum stellen und behaupten, er wollte die Menschehit dezimieren mit seinen Impfstoffen.
Also so durchgeknallt ist er ja nun auch nicht.
Gates mal runtergebrochen auf das, was er macht:
Er ist einfach ein Geschäftsmann und er nutzt jede Gelegenheit, Geld zu machen. Punkt. Mehr gibts da nicht zu sagen.
