Operation Gladio was a net work of underground armies under NATO and these armies were mostly trained by MI6 and CIA. Alongside Operation Gladio the intelligence agencies ran a \"black ops\" wing which infiltrated, controlled, radicalized and supplied arms and explosives to left- and rightwing groups in Cold War Europe. Explosives from NATOs arms caches were used at least in bombings in Italy.
