This video about making ring out of German silver coin 5 Mark. While I was making this ring, I spoiled three coins! These are very \"capricious\" coins and easily crack during the stretching process. To make coin rings, I do the following:
1. I anneal coin, use a jewelry burner. Annealing is needed to make the metal of the coin soft and suitable for transformation into the coin ring. Before annealing, I flux a coin. Flux is needed to protect the coin from oxidation when heated. After annealing the flux dissolves in boiling citric acid. The coin becomes clean and white.
2. I make a hole in the center of the coin. I use center punch tool.
3. I begin to give the coin the shape of a cone. I use a press, damming block, balls.
4. Intermediate annealing, so that the coin ring does not crack during subsequent stretching.
5. Stretching the ring. I use rings stretcher.
6. Reducing the ring, giving the desired size. I use the special cone reducer.
7. Blackening. I use a hot solution of sulfuric liver.
8. Processing and polishing. I use sandpaper, grinding abrasive wheels, polishing machine.
9. After polishing, I clean the ring in an ultrasonic cleaner (I not show this in the video)

After all that, I pack the ring, go to the post office and ship the package to my buyer\'s address!
