The National Weather Service in Buffalo, New York, said visibility would drastically reduce during Wednesday morning\'s peak travel period, with 1 to 2 in of snow expected per hour.

An early Wednesday forecast said the hardest-hit areas would be south and southeast of Lake Erie before the snow shifts northward.

Freeze-related warnings and advisories are in place from the Florida panhandle to southern Georgia as temperatures may drop again on Thursday morning.
